"Beating Cancer"

Lene Palfelt receives a radiation treatment in the University Hospital of Copenhagen. “In my family we die of old age. There are no precedents of cancer, and not of heart diseases either. I have always thought that I am going to be here for a lot of years. That is also one of the reasons why it was a kind of redemption when the breast was removed. For me the illness was disgusting. Take it out! It was so repulsive that the cancer existed inside me.”
