"Living on a Dollar a Day: The Lives and Faces of the World's Poor"

Barefooted children bounce a ball as they play among the pigs and garbage in the Kusum Pahari slum in New Delhi, India. Kusum Pahari slum is located on a garbage dump where meat butchers also graze their pigs and children play with a ball at right. The pigs freely roam the neighborhood. There has been a government order to abolish the slum but the people that have been living there for almost 25 years have no where to go. Photo taken June 20, 2010.
