The body of Kevin Ignacio Vásquez Maldonado lies in the arms of his mother, Janeth Maldonado, a few minutes after being killed. The attacker arrived on a motorcycle, got out, shot and fled on foot, getting lost among a crowd of children who were leaving primary school in the Cabañas neighbourhood of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the the most violent city in the world with a rate of 169 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants.
