"Afghanistan Circus"
Kids from Sour Khdar school attend a show performed by kids in the school yard, in Bamiyan, Saturday May 18, 2013. In the dusty and hot city surrounded by mountains and divided into sectors with concrete blast walls, there is a place where you can dive into an atmosphere of colors and children’s joy. For the war-torn small landlocked country more than 3 decades suffering from multinational invasions and religious brainwashing, - circus is something from the other universe. Vivid colors, girls singing and juggling, still bring conservative elders into light shock that turns to smile in a while. Entering the door to its main center in Kabul, means stepping into a world of fun and colors, with boys and girls practicing together and taking lead of their own learning.
