Family and friends lower the body of Roland James Bear Killer into the ground on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Roland James was stillborn, an addition to the statistics of death among young Lakota. The infant mortality rate on the reservation is 3 times higher than the national average while the teen suicide rate is 1.5 times higher than the rest of America.
