When Army Sgt. Ryan Kahlor returned from two combat tours in Iraq, he was a walking billboard for virtually every affliction suffered by today's veterans. In addition to struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, he had a detached retina, a ruptured disc, vertigo, headaches and memory lapses. He's come back from the depths of being violent and suicidal to trying to make peace with his demons and find his place in everyday life - leaving the war behind.
