Southern California's mountains and canyons burn every few years, a necessity for the flora that inhabits the region, yet homeowners still build in the fire prone and beautiful hills along the coast. A fire erupted in the canyons of Santa Barbara and Montecito, a result of low humidity and powerful Sundowner winds. Firefighters try to put down the flames that destroyed one of nearly 200 homes that were lost. |
