An Iraqi civilian complains to American forces about
insurgent kidnappings and killings in his neighborhood July 24, 2007 on the
western outskirts of Baghdad, Iraq. He said that Iraqi Army soldiers had
confiscated his personal weapon at home, leaving his family vulnerable to
attack. He described a 45-minute gunbattle just two nights before, where
local citizens fought against insurgents who had come to kidnap a neighbor.
