A traditional Indian horse race called the
"Suicide run," a dangerous, breakneck race for young Lakota, men
and women alike, through mixed terrain, held near Manderson to commemorate
the Anniversary of the Little Big Horn and the defeat of General Custer.
Games and races like this are bringing the young Lakota back to their Warrior
roots.
