"Soldiers Removing Dead Bodies"
Soldiers had been ordered to clear the area for
corpses as there was a great risk that desease would spread with the many
decaying bodies. The soldiers would rub their protection masks with grinded
coffee in order not to vomit from the strong smell of the decaying bodies.
