As natural habitats shrink and resources
become scarce, elephants who once ruled much of
the Asian continent are waging a war with the people who live here. The
curious fact that Ganesha, the well loved Hindu God who has the head of an
elephant strikes noone as particularly ironic. Instead they pray to it to ask
that the elephants leave. Thousands of villagers live in the trees at night
to survive the devastating damage that the elephants bring and the land that
the government has declared a national park continues to be swallowed up by
illegal encroachers and loggers who use tamed elephants to rip out the trees.
