"Laid to Waste"
Following the death of Jonas Savimbi in an Angolan army ambush, a cease fire between UNITA rebels and the government was signed on the 4th of April, 2002 ending 27 years of civil war in Angola. The conflict laid to waste a country rich in natural resources and provoked a severe humanitarian disaster.
