Mattea, HalbertŐs only biological child of the four children, hangs onto her father after seeing him for the first time in a week. HalbertŐs truck had broken down and due to insufficient funds to pay for the repairs the kids had to stay with their grandmother on the reservation while Halbert stayed in Gallup where he is employed.
