Always the ladies' man, Jessie Stevens,12, enjoys the
company of therapists Divya Variyam and Sarah Nicolarsen as he struts back to
his room at LaRabida Children's Hospital in Chicago. Stevens spent three
months at the hospital recovering from an abscess on the brain.
Two boys- Jessie Stevens an outgoing
12-year-old recovering from a brain abscess, who calls his female therapists
Kitten and Cupcake, the other- Dashawn Miles, a shy 8-year-old battling a
chronic disease of the nerves who loves to run but now would settle for
walking- recovering together at LaRabida Childrens' Hospital in Chicago. They
were brought together by fate but their newfound friendship has inspired
fellow patients and staff members alike on the 2nd floor of this Illinois
institution.
