Summary:
In a back bedroom of a small white house, Gloria
Jackson is dying of ovarian cancer, a morphine drip measuring her final
moments. The family gathers around her bed, quiet, somber, afraid. As she
fights cancer, her three teenage daughters become mothers, her sons drop out
of school. This is a universal story about the people who live, trapped in a
world of generational and cyclical poverty. It's life and death, oppression
and resistance, faith and despair. In the shadow of Texas' richest county,
the Jackson's pray for a miracle.
