David is working out at city
hall. By doing this he tries to motivate the
youngsters to do sports and prevent them from fighting on the streets. Today
less than half of these people of Qaanaaq live off hunting and fishing.
Losing their tribal identity, they live on the Danish social security. Rates
of unemployment, malnutrition, alcoholism, violence and suicide are high
amongst this people facing extinction.
