Fourteen-year-olds Meredith (from left), Devin, Emma (in back), Lola and
Nicole spend every summer together at Echo Hill
Camp on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. They each live in different parts of
the country so when they are at camp, their home lives and school-year
identities are distant and unimportant. I (the photographer) spent my summers
at Echo Hill as a child and went back to photograph the magic I had
experienced. Here they are drying off after an afternoon swim.
