BESLAN, RUSSIA: Sept. 6 -- Devastated by a hostage crisis, in which
Chechen militants killed nearly 350 school
children and their parents after holding 1200 captive for three days at a
local school--the second highest death toll of any terrorist attack in modern
history, after America's 9/11--shocked survivors bury the dead, grieve, and
here place remembrance roses along the window of the destroyed school in
Beslan, Russia.
