"Bartman Ball goes Kaboom"
The baseball from the eight inning missed catch of the Cubs Game 6 of the
NLCS is destroyed by a special effects technician
outside Harry Caray's restaurant in Chicago, February 26, 2004. The
destruction of the baseball, originally caught by Cubs fan Steve Bartman, and
later purchased by the restaurant for over $100,000 dollars, is thought to
bring an end to the 'curse' that many believe caused the Cubs to lose to the
Florida Marlins in last year's National League Championship Series.
