Olympic gold medal winning marathon runner Joan Benoit Sameulson is
regarded as one of the all-time great marathoners.
At age 46 Sameulson wanted to run another but had to withdraw from the
Olympic trials this year due to a painful Achilles tendon injury. For Olympic
