"SUPPORTING SADDAM"
Thousands of Iraqis march through the streets of Baghdad,
voicing their support for longtime leader Saddam Hussein and against the
impending war.
In the days leading to war, most Iraqis didn't
believe they would ever see an American soldier in Baghdad. They marched in
support of their longtime leader, whom they trusted would see them through.
Gloom filled the sky as bombs rained down and the number of dead and wounded
grew by the day. No one knows how many perished in the initial phase of the
war. Only one thing is certain; the lives of all Iraqis will never be the
same.
