The entire Kabul mirrors the fact that the city has
witnessed alternating wars and conflicts during the past 25 years.
Since December 2001 more than 2,2 million Afghans have returned from lives as
refugees outside Afghanistan. They believe in the promises from the
government about peace and reconstruction and they hope that the world
society will keep their promises about not forgetting the Afghan people.
So for the first time in a long time a lot of people not only hope
for a better future they believe in it.
