Iraqi Judge Fadil Shadid (suit and tie) hears the
case of Wasan Kamil, 28, holding daughter, who is being held for the murder
of her husband at the Karbala Police Station in Karbala, Iraq. Although
Wasan is known to be innocent, the judge wants to keep her because her
brother, the guilty party, cannot be found. Since Wasan has an 8-month-old
daughter, the Iraq police arrested her 54-year-old mother in her place. Sgt
Thomas Neal, of the US Army, negotiated the release of Wasan's mother.
