With graduation only a few days away, seniors at VMI, including two of the class' first female cadets, Melissa Williams, left and Kelly Sullivan, let their hair down for a class picture.
In the spring of 2001, VMI saw its first female cadets graduate. The famous military school had only allowed men attend, but after four years of toil, the 13 women who finished the school's tuff program proved there is a place for women at VMI.
