"The nice thing about Chicago is that the commuting is easier," said Linda Puccio, a former New Jersey resident. "The trains are on time and they have a lot of expresses." The express trains that leave the Route 59 station stop only once in Naperville before getting to downtown Chicago in an hour's time.

Seconds can make the difference between making it to work on time or not. Once the doors begin to close on the trains there's no giving anyone a break for fear of someone getting hurt in attempting to get onto the train as it begins to pull away from the station.

"She double commutes," Jamie White says of his friend, neighbor and fellow commuter, Kathy Delehanty. "She telecommutes while commuting." Delehanty works for a management consulting firm in Chicago and talks to business associates as close as Chicago and as far away as London in her commute. "Look at how productive I can be. With all this fellowship and productivity, why would I drive?"
