MOPA to Host POYi Exhibition in San Diego
The Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego hosts an extended exhibition of POYi award-winning images in May 2013, for a four-month showing of documentary photography. Located in Balboa Park in the heart of San Diego, MOPA is a center for visual learning, passionately dedicated to sharing and exploring the universal language of photography. The Museum of Photographic Arts exhibition with POYi extends the reach of photojournalists and engages citizens worldwide with great documentary photography.

Nikon Sponsors Camera Prizes to Photographers of the Year
Nikon sponsors POYi with professional-quality cameras as prizes to first place recipients in both “Photographer of the Year” categories — the Photographer of the Year - Freelance/Agency and Photographer of the Year - Newspaper. Nikon Professional Services will present the prizes to the winners during the POYi Awards & Education Program in San Diego at the Museum of Photographic Arts in late May 2013.

SocialDocumentary.net (SDN), founded in 2008, is a website and community for documentary photographers from all corners of the world and a source of visual information for everyone else who believes photography provides a valuable contribution to our understanding of the world. Currently SDN has more than 700 exhibits on topics as diverse as war and peace; survivors and victims of disease; environmental solutions and problems; drug addiction; prisons and prisoners; rural communities in the US, Europe, Asia, and Iceland; and dozens of other themes both global and local.
