On August 3, a terrorist targeting Latinos killed 22 people and wounded scores more in the border city of El Paso, Texas. The tragedy cut deep on both sides of the border. Funerals, memorials and vigils occurred in Ciudad Juarez as well. 2019 had the highest number of mass shootings in US history.
