Competition categories include photojournalism, documentary projects, online multimedia, and visual editing. Registration and entry uploading will be accessible online from Dec. 13 through Jan. 14. Pictures of the Year International is the oldest and one of the most prestigious photojournalism competitions in the world. Each year POYi honors the best documentary photography and photojournalism, setting the gold standard for excellence. The POYi exhibition showcases a selection of the 240 winners from the most recent judging in February. Through exhibitions and workshops, POYi serves those photojournalists who chronicle the news events, political trends, and social issues facing our world.
