A doe hangs from a tree in an abandoned hunting camp along the Kettle River after the first full day of deer season. The town's population swells by hundreds as hunters from all areas descend here for the hunt. "Of course the deer attract hunters here, but a lot of guys like to get away from their women folk for a few days." Wolfgang Tronvig, president of the Curlew Chamber of Commerce. |
