Fixing God's House

The sanctuary of St. Paul's Episcopal church fills with the noon light shining through its stained glass windows Tuesday. Outside, Russell Morgan, a painter, applies primer to the bare oak frame holding one of the windows. A subcontractor, Morgan is working along with workers from Conley Bros. in Virginia Beach to restore the 1899 34th St. church in downtown Newport News to its original luster.
